“I AM THANKFUL FOR HARDSHIPS, I AM THANKFUL FOR DIFFICULTIES”

These are the words spoken by Mrs. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong from the bottom of her heart – Chairwoman of Board of Directors of Saigon Construction Corporation (SCC) at the 20th Anniversary of SCC, which has the theme “Full of Faith”.

Mrs. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong and Mr. Tran Viet Anh shared the 20 years’ journey of SCC.

At 18:30 on 15th June 2019 in Da Lat City, SCC held celebrations to mark the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the Corporation (1999- 2019) in the presence of the Corporation’s Leaders, business counter partners, guests, and SCC’s big family (SEE THE TEAM BUILDING PICTURES HERE).

At the celebration, all the SCC’s people together recalled the memories of the first days when they began to build the trade mark for SCC, the remarkable success they achieved after the first 10 years of establishment of the corporation, the happening of the economic crisis between 2012- 2013 that they have never imagine that they would not be able to overcome, achievements of all their hard work they have reaped, and future targets they are aiming at. Mrs. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong told about the global economic crisis between 2007 and 2008 and the economic crisis in Vietnam between 2011- 2013. During that time, they saw nearly 100,000 Vietnamese enterprises became bankrupt and their company was on the edge of bankruptcy when their real estate business was completely frozen, in such situation SCC had “Hang by a single hair”. To overcome the severe elimination of market at that time, SCC’s Leaders had to make a decision which was so difficult to them: Re-structure of the Company’s investment portfolio; painful plan to cut off its workers and sacrifice of a mass of projects in which they had put many efforts for rescuing the Company.

Looking back on the 20 years’ journey she went on, Mrs. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong said in tears: “It is only 20 years but I think I have live all my life already. Today, standing here, I remembered those horrible days that I really want to forget. It was very fortunate for me because beside me is my brothers and sisters, comrades-in arm, family and friends. I am thankful for hardship, I am thankful for difficulties”.

Mrs. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong’s share made the persons present at the celebration moved and proud of the tremendous efforts that SCC’s staff have made on their journey during the last 20 years.

Mrs. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong expressed her gratitude to Mrs. Ngo Thi Phuong Thuy and Mrs. Nguyen Tran Trieu Thanh for their enormous contributions to SCC’s today success.

SCC’s Leaders and business counterpartners together are cutting the birthday cake and are lifting their glasses to cheer and congratulate the 20 Years’s journey the Company went on and hope SCC will reap news fruits in future.

With the theme “Full of Faith” of the 20th Anniversary of SCC, the big family of SCC had artistic performances which were carefully designed. The song “Youth’s Aspiration” is the voice of enthusiastism, spirit, aspiration for invention and enrichment on new land of SCC’ members.


The Song “A lifetime a forest” makes SCC’s big family to look back on the days they passed through with the human warm love in storm and SCC’s spirit “live for everyone”.

For the purpose of the 20 Years’ Anniversay of the date of incorporation, SCC organized a writing Competition with the topic “SCC Inspiration” for all its staff to “open their heart” with other people about the moments, memories, landmarks worth remember during the time they have lived & worked under the same house of SCC. After 27 days, the organization board of the contest received the enthusiastic welcome from SCC’s big family, as a result: 40 articles were selected and published and more than 4000 interactions.
