Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Charity Club Warm With Love founded by Company Saigon Construction Corporation (SCC) even more wants to join hands to help the lives of disadvantaged people in society. Also in the past few days, the socio-political units of the districts have had many practical measures to take care of and support people affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
When the city implemented social distancing according to Directive 16, the poor who were already in trouble were struggling, even more, many people had to ask for charity meals and porridge to endure. People in difficult circumstances who have long needed support from these charity places are now finding it even harder. Not only the people selling lottery tickets, collecting ticks and bottles have been affected, the epidemic also has a strong impact on the livelihoods of street vendors, maids, motorbike taxi drivers, etc. Many people, because they can’t stand it, give up their ways and just stay home. Especially the blocked areas of the epidemic center such as Binh Tan district, where many industrial parks are located, and those directly affected are workers working in factories, industrial parks, etc., who lost their jobs and lost income, unable to pay for living expenses.
But the epidemic was stressful, many charity food distribution points had to close for epidemic prevention, temporarily not serving on-site. On July 7th, 2021, with complicated developments culminating in the epidemic center of Binh Tan District, the Charity Club Warm With Love quickly coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Tan Tao A ward, Binh Tan district, conducted the program “Meal of Gratitude”, organized a place in the afternoon on July 8th, 2021 to distribute 1,000 charity meals (total 20 million VND) to the poor in this “epidemic center” area of Binh Tan District.

The distribution site chosen by The Charity Club Warm With Love cooperated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Tao A ward at Street 7th, Bac Luong Beo residential area, Quarter 2, Tan Tao A ward, Binh Tan district. With each meal consisting of white rice, savory dishes, and soup, vegetables, the club donated meals with both quality and quantity to support the poor in Binh Tan district.

Although the distribution program was implemented quickly, the club and participating members all ensured good hygiene, safety, and serious disease prevention.
Previously, in December 2019, before the Covid-19 epidemic appeared in Vietnam, the Charity Club also conducted the program “Porridge of Gratitude” giving 509 servings of porridge and 509 servings of milk to Children with difficult circumstances at Children’s Hospital 1 (HCMC). Not only is the activity of distributing porridge and a free meal, but the program also arouses the spirit of love and deep sympathy of the club members, with the desire to share a part of the pain that patients have to endure, and reduce the economic burden for difficult circumstances. At the same time, in April 2020, the Charity Club Warm With Love also donated 02 tons of rice to the poor, homeless people, street ticket sellers, street vendors, disabled people, and the elderly… in District 2 to support people firmly overcome the epidemic.
And when the whole country has to cope with the Covid-19 epidemic, in the spirit of joining hands with the whole country to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic, the Charity Club Warm With Love has donated 200 million VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; donated 1,500 antibacterial masks and 100 protective shields to Tropical Hospital; donated antibacterial and water-resistant fabrics to Ca Mau Provincial Union to sew masks for people to prevent epidemics; supporting the production cost of antiseptic hand sanitizer for teachers and students Dao Anh Quang, Hue College of Industrial; donated antibacterial cloth masks and antiseptic gel to Son Loi commune, Vinh Phuc province. With the 4th outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, following the message “Together against the Covid-19 epidemic”, the Charity Club has just donated VND 50 million to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Duc City in the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic on the morning of June 3rd, 2021.
